“Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.” I am not sure who said it, but when I heard it, I felt it. Perfect was always the end goal, the prize, the true champion of what it was all about, but I moved further and further away from this. With all the balls in the air with our home, our family, and our life, perfection was a mirage… and those balls were all over the floor. Yes, I would blog sarcastically about our parenting woes; record the absolute nonsense that we managed day-to-day, post true pictures of my unfolded laundry all the while striving to get it right, get it perfect. In doing that we lost all the good stuff; determined to get perfect pictures, beautifully edited videos, staged home, please friends and family, and “perfect” all the aspects of our life… perfect became the enemy of all that was good enough.
It’s Not Winning Mom of the Year 2.0. Let me give you a tour.
1) The Main Page
This is where all our most recent posts will be. You’ll find all my posts in chronological order from newest to oldest, just like they’ve always been on my old site.
The lower half of the page is divided in four categories; Life, Parenting, (both of which I have very little knowledge so don’t quote me on anything), Humor, and Top 10.
3) Searching and Sorting Options
Here is our Search Bar, Archives to older posts, and our YouTube Channel
4) Top Menu Bar
All the different ways you can find us; YouTube, Snap-chat, Twitter, and Pinterest (which I’m still trying to figure out)
If you are on your mobile device take a moment to tap the three lines on the top of the page, this will take you to the site navigation, which should be pretty self-explanatory.
I am hoping to move into a new direction of how we are trying to make it work here in our house, the good the bad, and the ugly. I am still committed to being authentic and relatable to moms everywhere, and hope you will continue with me on this journey.
Happy New Year!
